How is Latex adhesive made?

Latex adhesive has two forms. It can be a hot melt adhesive or cold adhesives. This product has been commercially produced on various platforms, even on the internet. Rubber or latex adhesive is made up of styrene and butadiene, usually found in petroleum. It has multiple brands, but all these provide equal quality. You can also see most rubber components in footwear, cables, flooring, and hoses.

According to studies, 90% of the world’s rubber population comes from Asia. The leading producer and manufacturers of this material come from China, the Philippines, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka.

How to use a latex adhesive?

Thanks to its flexibility and durability, latex adhesive has been one of the most trusted bonding agents. But still, it has always had its negative effect. An ordinary latex adhesive is ineffective in cold temperatures. That is why there is a hot melt adhesive. Here’s how to use it properly:

a. Prepare your adhesive and brush.

b. Check if the surface is smooth and clean.

c. When applying the adhesive to the surface, you need a brush if the glue comes from a can. On the other hand, playing directly to the surface is okay in tube form.

d. After doing so, press the surface firmly for about a minute or two. Let it cool down for about a few minutes.
